Who am I?
I joined Bromleys in July 2022, I am a Senior Associate and Head of the Court of Protection team. I completed my Undergraduate Law degree at Sheffield Hallam University and the Post graduate Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield in 2003. I qualified as a Solicitor in July 2011. I specialise in cases involving the Court of Protection for the young, elderly and vulnerable.
How can I help you?
My expertise includes:
- Lay Deputyship advice and dealing with court applications.
- Professional Deputyship advice and dealing with court applications to obtain specific authority to deal with sale of properties, authority to litigate, authority to obtain a grant of probate to a deceased estate.
- Statutory Will applications.
- Deputyship general day to day management including annual client visits, care funding reviews, benefit reviews, liaising with other professionals including social workers, case managers, investment advisors, accountants, estate agents, architects, surveyors and medical experts.
- Trust day to day management.
Previous experience includes creating personal injury trusts, property purchases and sales representing Trustees and Deputies, dealing with all aspects of personal injury trust administration and Islamic finance.
A bit more about me
I am fluent in Punjabi and understands Urdu. In June 2022 I successfully completed the Solicitors for the Elderly Older Client Law course and I am a Full Accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly. In order to be a fully accredited SFE member, I have completed a minimum of three years’ experience advising in areas of older client law and have completed the Older Client Care in Practice Award – a qualification which demonstrates the specialist client care skills that enables me to advise and support older and vulnerable clients. I am required to continuously update my knowledge with training and produce an annual statement of competence, which ensures I maintain my expertise. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
