At Bromleys, we believe in making a meaningful difference, not just through legal expertise, but by supporting our community in practical and heartfelt ways.
This week, our Care team has taken that commitment a step further by assembling and delivering ten thoughtful hampers to Fortalice, a Bolton-based charity that provides vital support to individuals affected by domestic abuse.
Supporting a Vital Cause
Fortalice offers frontline services including a refuge with 22 self-contained flats, as well as providing training and group work for victims who are, or have been, impacted by domestic abuse.
Their work spans across Bolton and surrounding areas, supporting women, men, families, and young people as they rebuild their lives in safety and dignity.
A Practical Way to Help
During recent conversations with the team at Fortalice, it became clear that many residents arrive with very few possessions, often just the clothes that they are wearing when they flee abusive relationships and difficult situations.
As they prepare to move on from the refuge and into independent accommodation, the transition can be daunting. Resources can be limited, with individuals prioritising clothing, food and housing essentials when moving on. That’s why our Care Team collaborated with Fortalice to identify a practical way to help by providing cleaning hampers to the residents to utilise when they move on from the refuge.
Hampers with Heart
Together, we agreed that “cleaning hampers” filled with essential items would be a meaningful and useful gift for those starting fresh.
These hampers include everyday cleaning supplies, items that are often overlooked but can make a big difference in helping someone feel settled and comfortable in their new home.
The hampers were warmly received by Fortalice, and we’re proud to support their incredible work.
