Bromleys Solicitors Supporting Ashton’s Independent Retailers

Local pride and community spirit were on full display at this year’s Ashton Independent Retail Awards, and  at Bromleys  we were  right at the heart of it.

As proud sponsors of the event, we not only celebrated the achievements of local businesses but also presented our own Sponsors Award to a standout favourite: The Hidden Kitchen.

Celebrating our involvement in the awards, the achievements of local winners, and the growing importance of supporting independent businesses, the event serves as a reminder of why championing our Tameside community matters now more than ever.

What Made the Hidden Kitchen Stand Out?

We’re proud to name The Hidden Kitchen as the winner of Bromleys Solicitors’ Sponsors Award, a recognition driven by our team’s enthusiasm and the outstanding service delivered by The Hidden Kitchen and its staff.

At a recent firm-wide meeting, our Managing Director Paul Westwell asked colleagues to name their favourite local spots, and The Hidden Kitchen emerged as the clear winner.

Its popularity among our staff reflects the café’s quality, charm, and the high demand it enjoys.

As Paul noted, “The only downside is how often it runs out due to high demand!” This award is a testament to how deeply we value the businesses that enrich Ashton’s town centre.

Who Else Was Celebrated at the Ashton Independent Retail Awards?

The Awards, organised by Ashton Town Team, recognised independent retailers in various categories, including:

  • Mr Jeans Outlet (Fashion/Footwear)
  • Briggs Butchers (Fresh Food)
  • Everest Cafe (Café/Takeaway)
  • Grade A (Jewellers)
  • The Hair Studio (Hair & Beauty)
  • Gibsons Music Store (Specialist Retail),
  • Sincerely Yours (Floral, Cards & Gifts),
  • Suzy’s Sweet Memories (Market Trader)
  • Cameron’s Tea Room (Town Team Chair’s Award)

highlighting the strength of Ashton’s retail community.

Why Do Bromleys Invest in Local Community Events?

Our sponsorship of the Ashton Independent Retail Awards is part of a broader commitment to supporting the local economy and fostering community connections.

By recognising businesses like The Hidden Kitchen, we reinforce our role not just as a legal practice, but as a neighbour and advocate for Ashton-under-Lyne.

What’s the Takeaway for Ashton Residents and Local Businesses?

Whether you’re a resident, a client, or a small business owner, our involvement in the Ashton Independent Retail Awards shows our dedication to the community.

From celebrating local favourites to encouraging people to shop local, we’re helping build a stronger, more connected Ashton.
