Although some services and businesses have had to temporarily close because of the current COVID-19 epidemic Bromleys remains open for business and we are able to give legal advice and make contact with clients during the lockdown by telephone and video calls or by email.
Children’s services continue their involvement with children and their families at this time and our Care Team are available to give advice to parents whose children are already involved with or who become involved with children’s services.
Court proceedings in respect of children before the Family Court have not stopped and continue. It being recognised that it is important to ensure that decisions for children and their families are not delayed and made as soon as possible.
The Courts have adapted to enable hearings to take place and cases to progress in the usual way. Hearings are currently taking place remotely via different methods such as video hearings through the use of Skype For Business and Microsoft Teams or by telephone hearings.
Children’s Services are also holding Public Law Outline meetings concerning children by video or by telephone.
Our Care Team are equipped and able to represent our clients using these methods.
