Isobel Cairns

Who am I?
I joined Bromleys in October 2025 as an Associate Solicitor in the Court of Protection team.
Since qualifying in 2020, I have exclusively practised Court of Protection property and affairs law.
Working with individuals and families as they navigate the Court of Protection is a huge privilege, and I take pride in never seeing my clients as file numbers.
Ensuring my clients’ best interests are met always involves a personal touch and holistic outlook from me and I hope that comes through in my work. I also actively work with other professionals involved to ensure a joined-up approach that keeps my clients at the heart of every decision.
How can I help you?
I am experienced in supporting family members and friends making applications for Lay Deputyship (where a professional is not appointed as Deputy).
In addition to this, I have extensive experience in setting up and the ongoing management of Professional Deputyships (where a Solicitor acts as a Deputy).
In this role, I am often called upon to prepare applications to Court, manage the purchase, adaptation and sale of properties, challenge Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP), oversee financial investments, commission packages of care for clients and generally make sure my clients are getting the care and support they need.
A bit more about me
When not advocating for my clients, I can normally be found horse riding, playing rugby for my local club, or baking in the kitchen. I also enjoy spending time with my young nieces and taking them on weekend adventures. My other favourite hobby is travel. To date, I have visited 20 countries with more trips planned!
