Karah Lane

I am a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Care Proceedings and Children Services Team. I graduated in 2005 and qualified in 2007, having previously held roles at FDR Solicitors.

I am highly experienced and well-respected in all aspects of law relating to children, with a particular specialism in Care Proceedings.

I regularly assist and advise parents, extended family members and children in Care Proceedings across the North West, Wales and Midlands, appearing in all levels of the Family Court. These cases often involve issues such as neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, domestic abuse and serious non-accidental injuries.

I have also represented clients with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties and acted in high-profile cases. As a member of the Law Society Children’s Law Accreditation Scheme, I am part of a panel of solicitors authorised to represent children directly or indirectly through their Guardians. This includes proceedings relating to deprivation of liberty and secure accommodation applications in the High Court.
