Francesca Rigby

I am a Senior Associate and Head of the Wills, Probate and Planning for the Future Team. I supervise all work carried out by members of this team, and my work is subject to overall supervision by the firm’s Managing Partner, Paul Westwell.
I studied Criminology and Social Policy at Manchester University before completing my Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School, achieving commendations in both. I qualified in September 2012 and joined Bromleys in July 2021.
Since qualifying, I have specialised in all Private Client matters, including:
- Preparing Wills, from simple Mirror Wills to those involving complex inheritance tax planning
- Estate Administration (taxable and non-taxable estates)
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Court of Protection work
- Elderly client services
- Trust administration
In February 2018, I successfully completed the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) course. As a full STEP member, I am recognised as an expert in Wills & Probate with proven qualifications and experience.
I am also a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE). This accreditation requires a minimum of three years’ experience advising in older client law and completion of the Older Client Care in Practice Award, demonstrating specialist skills to support older and vulnerable clients. I maintain my expertise through continuous training and annual competency statements.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and my main hobby is travelling to new places.
